Welcome to our wonderful school! Broomgrove Junior School is a friendly, caring and ambitious school and we are passionate about learning as well as social and emotional development and preparing children not just for secondary school, but for life. Our school is located in the beautiful village of Wivenhoe, on the outskirts of Colchester.
We are a two-form entry junior school with strong links with the neighbouring infant school. We have large grounds including a wonderful Forest School area on site. Outdoor learning is something we are currently developing as it boosts confidence, social skills, communication, motivation, physical skills, knowledge and understanding.
It has also been found to boost childrens self-esteem, self-confidence, ability to work cooperatively and positive attitude to learning. We also have a school dog to support wellbeing. He is currently being introduced to children when they read.
