Great Tey Church of England (Controlled) Primary School is a small, friendly community school just outside Colchester. At Great Tey, it is our strong belief that children learn best when they are happy, well supported and engaged in their learning and we strive to give children experiences and opportunities which will engage their interest.
All adults in school work hard to create an environment which allows every child to flourish and achieve to the best of their ability. Children here are well supported by a fantastic team of teachers and teaching assistants.
Our children often say that school feels like a family a reflection of the values of cooperation, support, acceptance and friendship that we seek to promote.
We were delighted that this was recognised by the Ofsted inspectors who visited recently, and who found that - "Pupils enjoy attending this welcoming school and do so regularly" "Pupils live and breathe the school's values through their daily actions."
