About

Every child at Bidbury Junior School leaves Year 6 able to competently read, write and do maths; able to communicate effectively; able to keep themselves safe; and with high aspirations for themselves. Our values are more than just words - they underpin everything we do and how we aim do it.

We have 6 core values that are embedded through our curriculum and in all that we do: Every time a child is spotted demonstrating a value, they are awarded a values leaf through our ClassCharts app. For children who consistently 'get it right' or do something exceptional over the week, multi-coloured and golden leaves can be given.

Through our core values, our children develop a strong sense of pride, respect and responsibility for themselves and for others. We encourage high self-esteem, aspiration, expectations and respect in all our pupils. We recognise and celebrate that all are different but each are special.

We encourage individuality and work hard every day to ensure that our school is a place where everyone feels valued and included. We believe that our children should develop an understanding of the wider world, their place within it and how they can make a positive difference.
