Visit Apply Portal Welcome from the Headmaster As the seventh headmaster of the school, since its foundation in 1910, I have had the great pleasure of being steward of a fine and historic tradition. York House is an independent school for girls and boys aged 3-13, in school years that is for children in Nursery to Year 8.
As the seventh headmaster of the school, since its foundation in 1910, I have had the great pleasure of being steward of a fine and historic tradition. The school was founded in 1910 and has been located in our stunning location just outside Croxley Green in Hertfordshire since 1966. I have responsibility for making sure that every year we get better at what we do.
The past is relevant – as a history teacher, I appreciate that – but it should not be dominant.
