8.40 am Classroom register and the official start of the school day. Balfour Infant School opened as a school in 1947. It was built, in the early part of the last century and was part of the Cottage Homes that housed underprivileged children. This building was the isolation block used to care for sick children.
It is an old building with stairs, which, although not ideal for young children, has had many improvements over recent years. Extensive additions to our building and facilities include a large school hall, a library and computer suite.
The school site is very secure; the only entrance into the building during the school day is through the school foyer and then via internal security doors.
