About

At Thornton Primary School, we work hard to ensure all children enjoy coming to school each day. We have high ambitions for all and pride ourselves on making sure each child develops the essential knowledge and skills they need to thrive.

It is our ambition that when our children leave our school they are confident, proud of who they are and ready for the next stage of their education.

Every child and their learning really matters to all members of staff, something that was positively recognised in our latest Ofsted Inspection in February 2023 when the school received a Good judgement overall and Outstanding for Personal Development.

The commitment from both the staff and governors to make this school the best possible place for our children to learn is clearly evident in everything that happens.
