At Ashton Primary school, our ethos is one of respect, care and understanding of ourselves, each other, the diverse world around us and also our environment. Through our nurturing, inclusive and aspirational values, we strive to encourage our children and give them the opportunity to be the very best they can be.
We encourage a love of learning by providing a high quality curriculum, which draws upon our local area and is based in the acquisition of skills, knowledge and vocabulary and supported by fun and memorable experiences which help to strengthen children's learning.
We aim to give our children the tools and self belief that they need to become resilient, independent and prepared for their futures.
Central to achieving this aim are the five values, developed in consultation with our children, families, staff and governors, that we seek to develop in our children: p urpose - we are always working hard to improve ourselves r espect - we show respect at all times o ptimism - we always have a positive 'can-do' attitude u nderstanding - we care for each other and our wider community d iversity - we value everybody's contribution regardless of their race, gender or religion
