About

St James' is a truly exceptional setting. – SIAMS 2025.

St. James ' School opened in 1873 and the Trust Deed, which is the foundation of the school, stated that, ' The school is a site for the children of the labouring, manufacturing and other poorer classes …and shall always be in union with and conducted upon the principles of the established church. ' The vocabulary may have changed but our school remains committed to the same principles – that we should serve all in our local community by providing the very best educational opportunities within a distinctively Christian context – Inspired by Christ.
