At St James Church of England Primary School, our Vision and Mission statements are rooted in Christian teaching, but they also express values that are recognised and respected by people of many faiths, including Islam.
They describe how we aim to live well together, how every person deserves dignity, and how our school community flourishes when these principles guide our daily life. Guided by our Christian Values, we endeavour to inspire, cherish and serve our school community. We strive to be exceptional in all we do. We will nurture a love of all God's children.
We seek to build respect for all faiths and beliefs. "Together we value, inspire and develop each other within a happy, safe community based on Christian values and respect for other faiths." Christian values such as kindness, respect, compassion, honesty and service provide the foundation for our school community.
These values are widely shared across other major faiths, including Islam, which also emphasises care for others, truthfulness and generosity. Being guided by these values means that our school culture promotes fairness, empathy and mutual support.
