Melling St Wilfrid CE Primary School is an Aided Church of England Primary School which offers primary education for all children. The school premises range from the original late nineteenth century structure that now houses our Early Years Foundation stage and KS1 class, through the purpose built hall into our large, light and airy Key Stage 2 classroom.
We recently had a large decarbonisation project with a new air sourced heating system, double glazing windows and aluminium doors, solar panels and new roof to future proof the school.
Our school is divided into two teaching phases: Foundation Stage/Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year One and Year Two) Key Stage 2 (Year Three, Year Four, Year Five and Year Six) Busy Bodies nursery runs in a dedicated pre-school room on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and join the school at dinner time. Children from the age of 2 are welcome.

Melling community playground is situated in our grounds and children have access to this during break and dinner times. We have a school field which is used in the summer for playtimes and PE lessons.
