About

As a Headteacher and a parent myself I know that choosing a secondary school for your child is an important, and often difficult, decision. Fleetwood High School is a fully comprehensive school for 11 to 16 year olds which serves the Fylde Coast, predominantly Fleetwood, Thornton and Cleveleys; although we do have students who travel to us from as far as Blackpool.

The main aim of our school is to provide the highest quality education possible for all our students, and to enable them to acquire first-rate nationally recognised academic qualifications, as well as the personal skills to become happy and fully functional individuals ready to tackle the ever increasing demands of the modern world.

In order to do this we offer a bespoke education for each individual child who follow their own academic pathway designed to help them achieve their personal best. Our team of talented, experienced and dedicated teaching staff ensure all students achieve as high as they possibly can.

Governing body (14 current, 2 former)

iMaintained school governing body (trust-linked).

1 governor is linked to a profile (all confirmed).

Governors marked “Confirmed same person” have exactly the same forename and surname as the only officer of that name at the school’s own academy trust company on the Companies House register, so we treat them as the same person. The governance record itself comes from DfE.
