About

I am delighted to welcome you to Burton-on-the-Wolds Primary School. As you browse our website, I hope that you will gain a good insight into the life of our school and those who teach, work and learn here.

At Burton we welcome children, their parents and carers into a friendly, nurturing, hardworking and exciting environment, where respect for others and positive attitudes towards work and behaviour are firmly embedded. Relationships throughout the school are fundamental to a positive ethos.

We have a very skilled and supportive Governing Body, who work in close partnership with the school community to ensure that there is mutual respect and trust, as well as challenge, ambition and drive.

We are very proud of our strong partnership with the local community; village groups, Burton Pre-School, local primary schools, feeder secondary schools and the parish church at Prestwold. Together we ensure that the school is at the cent re of the community and the children grow to understand the importance of belonging and develop a strong community spirit.
