Folville Junior School is a vibrant, multicultural community at the heart of Braunstone, Leicester. Our pupils bring a rich diversity of languages, cultures, and experiences — as of October 2024, 37 languages are spoken across our school. English, Polish, and Romanian are the most common, but over a third of our pupils speak one of 34 other languages.
This diversity is one of Folville's greatest strengths, creating a community where every background is valued and every voice is heard. Many of our families have deep roots in Braunstone, with several generations having attended Folville, while others are new to the area and often new to the UK.
Together, they reflect modern Leicester — inclusive, ambitious, and proud of its heritage. Founded in 1939 as a Girls' Secondary School, Folville retains a unique character that blends history with innovation.
