About

Marriott is a primary school at the heart of the Saffron Lane community in Leicester. Our school serves a richly diverse area and reflects the many cultures, languages and experiences of the children and families who learn with us every day. This diversity is one of our greatest strengths.

We recognise that every community faces challenges, and we are deeply committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background or starting point, feels safe, valued and supported to succeed.

Our school is a place where children are encouraged to be curious, confident and resilient learners, and where high expectations sit alongside nurture, understanding and strong relationships. Our last Ofsted inspection (May 2022), where we were graded Good, reflects the strong culture and values that underpin our work.

Inspectors noted that: "Pupils like coming to Marriott; it is a big family where staff care for them and want the best for them all." "Staff welcome every pupil to the school, regardless of how high their level of need is. They refuse to give up on any one of them."
