About

Avenue School was built in 1893, and has had a long and proud tradition of educating children in the local community. This lovely Victorian building has seen many changes over its many years! It is currently a four-form entry Junior School with capacity for 480 pupils aged between 7 and 11 years. We are very proud of all our children.

The staff work extremely hard to provide a rich, exciting and varied curriculum and our children respond enthusiastically to all the opportunities offered to them! We are proud to be a School of Sanctuary and we are committed to our role in helping create a more equal society including our work towards becoming an Anti-Racist School.
