About

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Wootton St Peter's Church of England Primary School . H idden away in beautiful countryside between Abingdon and Oxford, our school is a small but vibrant community where every child is known, valued and inspired to thrive.

Whether joining us from our local village or from further afield, each pupil becomes part of our extended school family, supported to grow both academically and personally. Our Christian vision – "Our children become the rocks upon which a better world can be built" – shapes everything we do.

We live out the values of perseverance, compassion and courage , encouraging children to embrace challenges, show kindness a nd aspire to make a positive difference in the world. Ofsted has consistently recognised our high standards, most recently in January 2025 when inspectors described Wootton St Peter's as "a happy school where all pupils achieve well" .

They praised our strong sense of community, ambitious curriculum and the respectful relationships between pupils and staff.
