About

Holway Park School Statement of Inclusion and Tolerance for most pupils, the best place to be during term-time is in school, surrounded by the support of their friends and teachers. This is important not just for your child's learning, but also for their overall wellbeing, wider development and their mental health.

It's not just children who fail to attend school who miss out, but those around them too. The government is working with schools and local councils to improve attendance by supporting them to reset the relationship between schools, families and the government to ensure children have the best start to life.

You can only allow your child to miss school if either: There may be other exceptional circumstances where you can ask to take your child out of school. Your school will consider each application and may let you take your child out of school. A holiday is generally not considered an exceptional circumstance. You cannot usually take your child away during term time.

You can be fined or face legal action for taking your child on holiday during term time. Holway Park School DSLs (Designated Safeguarding Leads) are: Mrs Angie Bristow - Home School Liaison Worker
