Bishop Henderson Church of England Primary School and Nursery Welcome to Bishop Henderson Primary School and Nursery. We are very proud of all our children, staff and the wonderful community that we represent and are excited that you are showing an interest in finding out more about us. Bishop Henderson Primary School currently welcomes children from 3 to 11 years old.
Our unique school sits on top of the Mendip Hills in the village of Coleford. We currently have four classes and one nursery and are well catered for with extensive and varied outside areas. At Bishop Henderson Primary School and Nursery we value each child and celebrate their individuality.
We encourage a love of learning through our enquiry based curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities. As active learners, they reach their full potential and achieve success in both academic development and emotional intelligence. We also aim to develop independence in our children to allow them to become free thinkers and question the world around them.
The school is fortunate to benefit from being positioned in some of the most beautiful grounds which lend themselves to outdoor play and learning.
