Having a smart school uniform for all children:
Helps to create a feeling of community
Supports the principle of inclusion
Is suitable and appropriate for school activities
Promotes a sense of pride
Avoids the distraction or pressure of fashionwear
White or Blue polo shirt with or without a school logo
Grey/black pinafore or skirt
Grey/black tailored trousers or tailored shorts (plain, no brands and at least mid-thigh length)
School logo sweatshirt or fleece or plain cardigan in Royal Blue
White polo shirt or Blue polo shirt with or without a school logo
Blue gingham dress

Uniform costs

DfE statutory guidance asks schools to keep uniform costs down, to say clearly what is required and what is optional, and to say where second-hand uniform can be bought.
