About

It is my pleasure in welcoming you to Hednesford Valley High School. A Good School, where students and staff are valued, respected and inspired to reach their full potential.

Set in the backdrop of Cannock Chase, an area of outstanding national beauty, we are a maintained secondary generic special needs school supporting 190 students from years 7-14 with a wide range of additional needs.

As a qualified SENCO with a passion for SEND and over twenty year's experience of supporting students in numerous settings, I was privileged to gain my Headship in September 2022. During the last two years we have seen change and look forward in implementing further developments to ensure our provision for staff and students.

Our mission statement is ready to learn, ready for life . This underpins all aspects of work at Hednesford Valley and everything we do is built around our school values of Teamwork, Respect, Independence, Confidence and Kindness. Our success isn't a magic trick though; our practice is built on evidence-based research and the hardwork and commitment of our outstanding staff.
