About

It is a privilege to lead The Hawthorns and I am very proud of the education we offer our children. As a day school for 6 months to 13-year-olds, our happy, nurturing environment encourages children to be curious and inquisitive, take calculated risks and make mistakes, yet still have the courage and self-assurance to persevere.

At the end of their Hawthorns journey, pupils leave us inspired with a love of learning, a strong sense of self-worth and eager to engage with the world in which they live. The Hawthorns academic curriculum is broad and balanced, sets high standards and gives opportunity for all children to excel.

Dedicated teachers create high expectations and small class sizes allow them to work hard with each pupil to help them achieve success in a wide variety of areas.

A wonderful programme of sport and extensive opportunities in Art, Music, Drama and Design & Technology gives every child the opportunity to enjoy their creativity, perform, feel sporty and compete, thus developing a confidence for life.
