About

At Jessie Younghusband Primary School, we believe in the power of community and collaboration. Our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), known as JYS Friends, plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experience for all our children. JYS Friends is a dedicated group of parents, teachers, and staff who work together to support the school and its community.

Our mission is to foster a strong partnership between home and school, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing and engaging environment. Fundraising: We organise various events throughout the year to raise funds that directly benefit our school.

These funds are used for resources, activities, and improvements that enhance the learning experience for all children. Community Building: We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all families. Our events provide opportunities for parents and children to connect, share experiences, and build lasting friendships.

Support for School Initiatives: JYS Friends collaborates closely with the school leadership to identify areas where support is needed. Whether it's volunteering for events or providing feedback on school initiatives, we are here to help.
