About

I am proud to introduce St Augustine's Church of England School to you. The staff work hard to create a learning environment in which every child is nurtured, valued and involved. The school has a creative and personalised approach to education.

Teachers carefully track the learning of every child so that they can help each one to achieve to their best ability and keep parents informed of their progress. Our school community strives to put the school vision statement into practice: Believe in Ourselves. Live well together. Anchored by God's Love.

To help aim for this vision, the Values-Based Education programme was introduced. VbE has had a major impact in school, improving both academic attainment as well as social skills. We were very proud to be the first school in West Sussex to be awarded the VbE Quality Mark.

Children at St Augustine's benefit from a variety of school trips which enliven the curriculum and are an important way for the children to experience the wider world. They also enjoy a wide range of sporting and cultural opportunities organised through the North Eastern Area Network of Rural Schools.
