About

I am extremely proud to introduce and welcome you to St Oscar Romeros Catholic School. Our aim is simple, we want to be the best school in the country. This means that we can 'hand on heart' say that our students get a better deal than if they attended another school. Last year, 80% of students achieved at least a Grade 4 in both English and Maths.

The Progress 8 score for the school in 2024 was +0.89, placing us in the top 2% of schools in the country. Our challenge this year is to improve even further on that in September 2024 the school opened their new Sixth Form, offering a traditional academic curriculum with some vocational qualifications. In April 2025 we were judged by Ofsted as 'Outstanding in all categories.

The report was overwhelmingly positive about the school and stated "This is a highly aspirational school where pupils truly thrive". Our last Diocesan Section 48 Inspection took place in November 2025, which judged the school as "Outstanding" in every category. Both Outstanding judgements were extremely proud moments in the school's history.
