About

iWritten by WhatSchool from official school data (Get Information about Schools, DfE and Ofsted).

Welcome to St John's Church of England Primary School, Tisbury I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our warm and friendly school. St John's is a relatively small village school with vast grounds, an allotment, pond, forest school and beautiful views of the countryside. From September 2025 we will have 95 children from Reception to Year 6, in four classes.

Our ethos and philosophy are that we are committed to ensuring that the children enjoy their learning where they are engaged and enthused in their learning. We have an exciting rolling programme for all subjects and a fantastic learning environment, with a committed and dedicated team of teachers; children are supported and also challenged and they achieve well.

Our attainment scores are high and above the La and National for reading, writing and maths. In our inclusive school, teaching and learning is structured creatively to ensure each child's individual needs and interests are carefully considered and catered for, with a broad and balanced curriculum which enables them to flourish.

We encourage children to think creatively and prepare them for the wider world. We are very pleased to announce that all of the staff within our school are trained in the 'Thrive Approach' which is a dynamic developmental way of working with children to promote emotional stability and wellbeing through play, discussion, drama, art and the great outdoors.
