About

We are a truly comprehensive school, catering for both boys and girls. We have students across the entire ability range and we offer special provision for the Gifted and Talented students as well as those with learning difficulties or disabilities.

We have invested considerably in Information & Communication Technology so that students and teachers can experience a broad range of teaching and learning activities.

At Key Stage 4, the curriculum is broad and has been reviewed successfully to promote some high quality vocational and applied courses which enable learners who choose these options to make at least the progress expected of them.

The school's specialism has enabled the use of number and ICT to develop across the curriculum and further strengthen learners' ability to apply and develop their basic skills. All students receive regular homework, from Year 7 upwards. Students record their homework in a school planner which we ask parents to sign and check weekly.
