In 2015, Pope Francis defined 'unity' when he said: "To understand one another, and to grow in charity and truth, we need to pause, to accept and listen to one another. In this way, we already begin to experience unity . Unity grows along the way; it never stands still. Unity happens when we walk together."
At St. Patrick's, central to our whole school's being is unity: together, we are united as brothers and sisters in the faith, with Christ at the Centre. It is this sense of togetherness, where communion with the Trinity, rendered possible by the encounter with Christ, unites persons with one other (CCE, 2007) that makes our school distinct.
And it is this unity that underpins our school Mission Statement. Our Mission Statement was thoughtfully created, together, to encapsulate the very essence of our kind and caring school; one that is rooted in Gospel Values; one that is epitomises Jesus' greatest commandment to: "Love one another. As I have loved you." (John 13).
