About

Welcome to Hare Street Community Primary School & Nursery, we hope that the school website will give you some more information about our caring and friendly school. Hare Street Infant and Junior Schools were originally opened in the 1950's to serve the Hare Street and town centre area of Harlow New Town.

In the Spring Term of 2001 Hare Street Infant and Junior Schools were amalgamated to form Hare Street Community Primary School and Nursery. At Hare Street School and Nursery we aim to provide a safe, caring, enjoyable and stimulating environment in which all members of our school community are able to develop and realise their full potential.

We make learning interesting and fun for the children; we believe that a happy child is one who will thrive. The school site is spacious and attractive with many large trees and a copse as well as a large field and a variety of garden areas with shrubs and flowers. The field is landscaped and this provides interesting play and learning areas.

There are a number of outdoor playground areas for the children to use during their break and lunchtimes as well as for outdoor P.E; these include an outdoor multi-gym, an all ability climbing frame, a trim trail and many games marked onto the playground.
