About

iWritten by WhatSchool from official school data (Get Information about Schools, DfE and Ofsted).

Welcome to Distington Community School. We are an inclusive school that takes pride in our work to provide long lasting memories for all children. Our key priority is that every child and member of our school family is safe, healthy and happy to learn. Children and staff create an environment with exceptionally high behaviour expectations, which create respect, trust and peace.

Our children are taught to understand what good learning looks like, how to be reflective learners, positive problem solvers and work effectively in a team, which in turn develops skills for life, personal development of the whole child and high academic achievement.

Our staff are committed to ensuring we get to know each child as an individual; this process starts before your child's first day, and is the beginning of a relationship that will build and grow as your child does in our care. We will work closely with you as parents during this time to ensure that your child's learning journey is a successful and fulfilling one.
