About

As a Community School, we really are a family. We want our children to be happy and proud to live in Westhoughton/Bolton and we want them to be proud of what they achieve; to work together; respect and engage with our local community. We wish our children to contribute locally and wider afield adding real value to the world they live in.

At The Gates, we pride ourselves on providing a school where children feel safe within a happy, forward-thinking, ambitious and stimulating environment in which each child is encouraged to: enjoy learning, have high expectations of themselves, respect each other, demonstrate kindness and inclusivity and empower them to fulfil their true potential.
