About

Is this course for you? We're offering you the chance to top-up your existing foundation degree (or equivalent qualification) to a BSc (Hons) in Film and Television Production Technology.

Whether you want a career in directing, editing, producing, cinematography, lighting or sound design, this course is designed to provide the advanced skills and filmmaking experience to kickstart a career behind the scenes in digital film production.

This University of Staffordshire qualification combines practical filmmaking and specialist research to develop sustainable skills for employment. Students are challenged to create a feature feature-length film from script to screen to be filmed in just 72 hours! The finished piece will be premiered at the Lichfield Garrick in the summer.

Through this course, students refine their practical skills expertise to enable them to become a confident member of any production team. With plenty of tutor support and guidance, many of our graduates successfully gain industry employment or start their own production companies. Former students have won film festival awards for their feature films.
