About

Welcome to Furness Academy, where I am delighted to be the new Headteacher at Furness Academy, we foster a strong, positive culture for learning and pride ourselves on the high expectations and standards that are maintained by all students. These expectations are here to support you in becoming the very best version of yourself.

When you visit Furness Academy, you will see that we are more than just a school. Underpinned by our core values of respect, responsibility and relationships, we encourage all our students to's tay curious, be engaged, and aim high, be respectful, act responsibly, and always show kindness to others.

Our aim is simple but powerful: to send every student out into the world confident, prepared, and equipped with the values and character needed to succeed in any path they choose. During your child's time with us, they will be grounded in the skills they need for adult life, supported by expert and caring staff in our world class facilities.

The strong sense of community, shared purpose, and commitment to the personal and academic growth of each student is what motivates me every day.

Governing body (14 current, 4 former)

iAcademy trust: local governing body and trust board.

2 governors are linked to a profile (all confirmed).

Governors marked “Confirmed same person” have exactly the same forename and surname as the only officer of that name at the school’s own academy trust company on the Companies House register, so we treat them as the same person. The governance record itself comes from DfE.
