The Bourne Academy, established in 2009, is a state funded secondary school with 1000 students aged 11 to 18 years. Formerly Kings High school, the Academy received a 10 million investment in 2012 which transformed the site into a state of the art 21 st century secondary school.
The Academy is committed to creating aspirational students who are well-prepared for their futures and who strive to achieve their full potential. Ofsted 2025: The school has high expectations for students to succeed academically as well as socially and emotionally. In lessons and around the school, pupils behave well. They demonstrate kindness and empathy towards each other.
