Northleigh House was home to Viv and Fred Morgan up until 2012, but after hearing all too many stories of the consequences of bullying, the exclusion of children from mainstream education, and in some cases much worse, they made the decision to set up a secondary school and sanctuary for these children in their own home.
This was a monumental undertaking involving a tremendous amount of hard work from the Morgan's and the amazing team at Northleigh but also the wider community whose support has been instrumental in creating the school we see today.
Northleigh House School is a independent mixed secondary school for pupils aged 11 to 19, specifically designed to support vulnerable young people who are unable to access mainstream education. The school provides a nurturing, structured, and supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.
"Northleigh have been instrumental in helping my child who was terrified of the normal school environment. He is calmer, able to communicate and happy to go to school each day" Viv was presented with an MBE for Services to Education by Prince William in Spring 2019, after being nominated in the Queens New Years Honours List.
