A very warm welcome to The King John School, a large, mixed comprehensive with a well-established sixth form, rated as Good by Ofsted in July 2021. The school was created in 1949, and since then has served the ever-growing communities of Thundersley and Benfleet, as well as welcoming students from further afield.
I was fortunate enough to be appointed Headteacher here at the school in January 2021. It is a popular school that is clear in its mission to provide a quality education for all underpinned by our five core PRIDE values of positivity, resilience, integrity, dignity and equality.
We strongly promote our values in all that we do, including, the curriculum, pastoral work, rewards and wider school projects in the community.

Governing body (7 current, 0 former)
iAcademy trust: local governing body and trust board.3 governors are linked to a profile (2 confirmed, 1 (likely)).
Governors marked “Confirmed same person” have exactly the same forename and surname as the only officer of that name at the school’s own academy trust company on the Companies House register, so we treat them as the same person. The governance record itself comes from DfE.
