About

I warmly welcome you to RISE Education Independent School. We are a therapeutic specialist school creating success for students with SEND and Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges. Students who cannot access mainstream education (or other non-therapeutic SEND settings) will progress at RISE because of our unique, caring, and supportive ethos.

Our entire approach is centred on Reality Therapy/Choice Theory which has a laser focus on meeting the basic human needs of every child to engage them in learning strategically. The needs are Love and Belonging, Power, Freedom, Survival and Fun. Students will leave us with a range of qualifications tailored to their strengths and needs.

Additional vocational qualifications can also be accessed by our students. Our team of teachers also help those who have low levels of academic engagement to make good progress, continually rising from their starting points. Our Personal Development help our students to form a positive vision of who they want to be as an adult.

At RISE Education, every child is valued as an individual. We work with young people, families and carers to provide a tailored support programme that is passionately driven by a team who love what they do.
