About

It is my great privilege to welcome you to Poole Grammar School, a selective 11-18 school where tradition and excellence meet ambition and opportunity. As a successful all-boys grammar school, we take immense pride in fostering an environment where academic accomplishment is balanced with strong moral character, personal growth, and a deep sense of community.

At the heart of our school are the values that shape everything we do: compassion, integrity, motivation, teamwork, respect, and wisdom. These are not just words; they are the principles that guide our students in their learning, their relationships, and their aspirations for the future.

We believe that education extends beyond the classroom, and we encourage every student to develop confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. Our dedicated staff are committed to nurturing the potential of every boy, challenging them to achieve their best while providing the support and guidance they need to thrive.

Whether in the classroom, sporting activities, the arts, or leadership roles, we encourage our students to embrace challenges, work collaboratively, and develop the skills and character that will serve them well beyond their time at Poole Grammar School.

Governing body (18 current, 2 former)

iAcademy trust: local governing body and trust board.

16 governors are linked to a profile (14 confirmed, 2 (likely)).

Governors marked “Confirmed same person” have exactly the same forename and surname as the only officer of that name at the school’s own academy trust company on the Companies House register, so we treat them as the same person. The governance record itself comes from DfE.
