About

On behalf of our students, staff, and governors, I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to King Alfreds Academy. It is a privilege to do so as the Headteacher. King Alfreds is a friendly, ambitious, and vibrant school packed full of energy, opportunity, and choice.

Our mission statement is Opportunity for All, something we believe in passionately and strive to deliver to our students each and every day. Congratulations to George in Year 7 who recently travelled to Belgium to compete in a Taekwondo competition. George did amazingly well, winning bronze in his category (and losing to the eventual gold medal winner from Ukraine).

And the trip was topped off on the flight home when the crew treated him like a champion. What an amazing experience! Hot chocolate for our brilliant readers this morning. They've been working so hard.
