Lisle Marsden Church of England Primary Academy

School has just been informed by the Local Authority that in August, traffic parking enforcement cameras will be installed on Lansdowne Avenue. These are to lawfully enforce the traffic regulations for the yellow zigzag lines painted on the road in the run up the school gate.

The signage here makes it clear that motorists should not stop or park on the lines during the current specified hours of 8.00am to 9.30am and 3.00pm to 4.00pm (these could change following installation). Cameras are currently in place at other local schools, like: Signhills, Old Clee and Waltham Leas Academies to enforce their zigzag line regulations.

The new cameras will have new signage installed to make drivers aware of their presence. Should motorists choose to park or stop on the zigzag lines during the specified hours, they will receive a fixed penalty fine of 70. This will be sent to the owner of the vehicle.

There will be an initial two week warning period, whereby anyone breaking the regulations will receive a warning letter, following this, penalty notices will be issued. Following this, similar enforcement cameras will be installed on Portland Avenue. This will take place sometime in the Autumn Term.
