DSLV E-ACT Academy

At DSLV primary we aim to provide our pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum which enables them to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to become successful and independent learners. We recognise the need to excite and stimulate children with fun and engaging activities, so they develop a natural interest to learn and make their own discoveries.

Initially by starting with what is familiar and gradually extending this knowledge to move learning forward and challenge their thinking. In order to achieve this we have created a cross-curricular style of learning that allows children to work both independently and collaboratively whilst combining the values of the academy.

They are immersed in stimulating activities and use a wide range of practical resources to support the teaching of new content and consolidate skills. In addition we enrich the classroom based learning with trips out and visitors to provide memorable first hand experiences.
