About

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Wilberforce Primary. At Wilberforce, we strive to instil in our pupils a real and lifelong love for learning.

This means, alongside making sure our pupils have all the building blocks in place to make strong progress in their lessons, we give them unique opportunities to explore their creativity, grow their confidence and develop new skills beyond the classroom.

We have an excellent teaching team who successfully deliver an exciting and enriching curriculum and are committed to make sure each and every one of our pupils can achieve their very best. Testament to this, our Key Stage 2 SATS results for 2022-23 were 23% higher than the national average and, year-on-year, our phonics scores are likewise consistently higher.

All our staff place our children at the heart of all we do and celebrate the attributes and characteristics that make each individual unique. Across the school, we expect the highest standards of behaviour from our children and teach them to be respectful of the people and places around them.
