The Skegby Junior Academy was opened on 1 September 2013 and is sponsored by the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) which currently has 38 open academies educating over 19,000 pupils across seven local authority areas including Nottingham City, Leicester City, West Northamptonshire, Northamptonshire, Peterborough and Lincolnshire.
At the Skegby Junior Academy, we provide a high-quality education for all our pupils, enhanced by a caring and positive atmosphere and underpinned by our SMART Values. We know that pupils learn more effectively if they feel valued, happy and secure.
"A wide range of sporting activities, such as rock-climbing and sailing motivates students and develops their physical wellbeing, often giving them opportunities they may not otherwise experience." Students take part in a wide range of community, charity and cultural activities within school and further afield.
