On behalf of the children, governors and staff, Welcome to Gillingham St Michael's Church of England Primary Academy of Gillingham CofE Primary Academy. Gillingham St Michaels Primary School, Ditchingham Primary School & Earsham Primary Academy all share one Executive Head Teacher and one governing body. Together they make up The Kingfisher Federation .
Each school has a separate head of school and they support the executive headteacher. The school has mixed aged classes catering for pupils from Reception through to Year 6 serving several of our local villages.
The Kingfisher Federation works under the Diocese of Norwich education umbrella they provide us with strategic and moral support and allow us to share best practice, pool resources, invest in teacher training and develop school and subject leaders. All of our academies are open to families of any religion, and of none, we are here to serve the local community.
A Christian ethos sets the culture of the schools, but the approach is very much one of inclusivity.
