About

About WMG Academy Trust operates WMG Academy Coventry and WMG Academy Solihull, with the aim of encouraging young people to study science, technology, engineering and maths. Working with businesses and the University of Warwick, we are able to offer students invaluable opportunities which are difficult to find anywhere else.

100% of students attending WMG Academy go straight on to university, advanced apprenticeships or work. That's what sets us apart. From the moment they walk through the door at a WMG Academy, students are offered a career-led education involving work placements, interactive industry activities and visits to businesses.

Through our 'business-like, business-led' ethos, students understand how their learning relates to the real world and leave prepared for their future careers. " We have some of the best companies and supply chains in our local area, and they all desperately need new talent and skills to help them grow. That is why the WMG Academy for Young Engineers is so important."

The WMG Academy for Young Engineers Multi Academy Trust was formed in March 2015. Following the successful opening of the Coventry Academy in September 2014, the WMG Academy Trust opened its second Academy in September 2016 in North Solihull.

Governing body (10 current, 3 former)

iAcademy trust: local governing body and trust board.

1 governor is linked to a profile (all confirmed).

Governors marked “Confirmed same person” have exactly the same forename and surname as the only officer of that name at the school’s own academy trust company on the Companies House register, so we treat them as the same person. The governance record itself comes from DfE.
