About

Who are we? Learning is a journey of discovery Woodlands Academy is a community that nurtures, challenges and strengthens our pupil's attitudes towards learning. To fulfil our mission statement (below), we aim to provide an outstanding quality and range of opportunity for learning.

We focus on what children need and this includes: We engage our local community by extending our learning and inviting in our families. To aid this engagement we have created an environment where positive relationships and interactions are encouraged. This promotes and nurtures everyone's attitudes and dispositions towards learning.

We encourage our pupils to have 'an appetite to learn' by being inquisitive and curious. This mantra helps everyone focus on our being an outstanding school that fosters excellence through a culture of rigour, consistency and high achievement for every member of our diverse community.

Teamwork and Partnerships – the beliefs upon which our school is built, underpinned by Our Values of Resilience, Respect, Self Belief and Determination.
