About

We support the young people other schools are unable to, using innovative teaching methods and personalised support. Why? Because we believe there is innate potential in everyone. And we really do mean everyone. Each pupil that attends UMS has a team of dedicated professionals in their corner to help them throughout their studies. This is our community.

These are our young people. Our future. UMS's journey began in 2003 when a group from a local church began supporting young people in the local schools across the area of Lewisham. Over three decades, we have built a reputation as an organisation that puts the needs of young people first and works tirelessly to help them progress.

That objective remains the same today, and will continue to guide us in the future. Driven by our Christian faith, we will not turn our back on those who are struggling, however hard it may be. We recognise that the traditional education system is challenging for many of our young people.

Those carrying emotional burdens or dealing with complex home situations need more help than the average school can provide. Thats where we come in.
