About

As you approach Year 10 or Year 12, you'll be facing some important choices that can set you on the path to a great career. Were thrilled youre considering joining us to start that journey. UTC Swindon is a University Technical College, which is different to a regular school.

Government funded and with a STEM focus designed to provide pathways for young people into academic study and technical careers, we welcome students in Years 10-13 with a passion for Engineering and Cyber Security. These, alongside Digital Technologies, are growing sectors in our economy and the area has a high demand for employees with these skills.

With us, you will be able to follow your passion for Engineering or Cyber Security while studying for GCSE, A Level, technical and professional qualifications. You will be working alongside employer partners who offer specialist learning through workshops and challenge days, set real-world projects and provide valuable work experience placements.

We are confident that students who attend UTC Swindon are given the best start in a variety of progression routes into employment or higher education. Last year our students went onto university, apprenticeships, sponsored degree programmes or employment.

Governing body (8 current, 3 former)

iAcademy trust: local governing body and trust board.

1 governor is linked to a profile (all confirmed).

Governors marked “Confirmed same person” have exactly the same forename and surname as the only officer of that name at the school’s own academy trust company on the Companies House register, so we treat them as the same person. The governance record itself comes from DfE.
