Castlefields Primary School was established in 1973; we have seven classrooms teaching children from Reception Class to Year 6. Castlefields School Nursery is located within the main School for children from aged 3 years. Children are grouped so that teachers can set differentiated work and match it to pupils abilities.
This enables children with special educational needs to be supported, and gifted children to be challenged. Work is matched to ability groupings in all subjects; teachers at Castlefields differentiate all work effectively, so that all ability groups of children are planned for.
The school offers excellent facilities, including a hall with good P.E. equipment; two playgrounds, one of which is marked as a full size netball court; a climbing/activity playground; we share a large playing field which includes a football pitch, hockey pitch and long jump pit.
We also have a secure fenced area dedicated to outdoor learning for the Reception and Year 1 classes.

Governing body (6 current, 2 former)
iAcademy trust: local governing body and trust board.1 governor is linked to a profile (all confirmed).
Governors marked “Confirmed same person” have exactly the same forename and surname as the only officer of that name at the school’s own academy trust company on the Companies House register, so we treat them as the same person. The governance record itself comes from DfE.
