Astrea Academy Sheffield opened in September 2018 as a free school and started with pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 7. We have grown over the years and we now have scholars from Nursery to Year 13.
We are the only all-through academy within our family of schools, Astrea Academy Trust, which is a family of primary and secondary academies in Cambridgeshire and South Yorkshire. The trust is committed to making sure that every child gets a brilliant education. Astrea aims to make sure that children learn, thrive and lead successful lives.
Being a part of this successful and ambitious trust means that our scholars, and colleagues alike, benefit from a rich partnership of opportunities. Astrea Academy Sheffield is fully committed to an inclusive, comprehensive curriculum for all.
Our curriculum is based on three key principles that underpin everything we do: Our work is underpinned by our five core values: scholarship, curiosity, tenacity, responsibility and respect. We are very proud to be rated as "Good" in all categories by Ofsted, following an inspection in December 2022.
