Elms Bank is a vibrant and forward-thinking community secondary special school based in Bury, Greater Manchester. All our students have a Statement of Special Educational Needs. Our age-range is from 11 to 19. Our Key Stage 3 and 4 students attend our Ripon Avenue, Whitefield site and our Key Stage 5 students transition to our College Hub Provision, Bury Old Road, Prestwich.
Students are assessed on entry and placed within one of our five highly personalised pathways: Inspire, Explore, Nurture, Discover and Thrive. Each pathway has a bespoke curriculum and particular learning approach that enables all of our students to flourish.
Central to our vision is to work in partnership within a multi-disciplinary approach to meet the needs of all the young people in our school community. We create a safe and happy learning environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. The website contains information about all the people who work in partnership with us.
These include a range of services from the National Health Service, Educational Psychology and the Local Authority SEN Department.
